case scenario would be to get him into some kind of outpatient treatment on his own accord so that he may be able to salvage his schooling. Unfortunately this may be unrealistic. It may take some catastrophic event like a health scare, you leaving him or failure at school to get him to realize what he is doing. Is there maybe a counseling center at his school that you could call? Otherwise I would try to call a treatment center to see what kind of advice they can provide you.
may need to get his family and friends involved to stage some sort of intervention because doing it alone will only make him place his blame and anger on you.
